# ASUS Divas Meet - Bangalore

It just looks like yesterday when I loving held the Asus Zenfone 5 in my hands. I was bowled over by its features and looks – especially for the mobile in the price range it was offered.  It was a sleek device in charcoal black with amazing features priced below 8000 INR.  . Keeping technical aspects aside, the phone had numerous practical uses for me. Being extremely happy with Zenfone 5, I feel Zenfone 2 is something worth looking ahead for and I did. When Zenfone 2 was launched, I did wait long before going for it. I have been using and loving it for past few months.

My Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML, Black, with 2 GB RAM, HD Display, and 16 GB memory was something I cherished. The attraction here is the gaming function of this smartphone. Those who know me, will know that my purchase of any gadget will largely depend on its gaming performance.  I love playing games and I play them fervor and passion. Faster charging is also quite important for gaming, because only game enthusiasts can tell you how horrible it is when the phone battery dies down when you are near to achieving a lifetime high score.

I had been enjoying all the Zen features including its amazing interface when I got invite for Bangalore Asus #DivasMeet. I walked in with Farheena, afraid of being late due to the traffic. But then, Bangalore traffic is bad, but it is fair to all. Hence everyone else was late which technically made us early arrivals. Taj Vivanta as usual has this pleasant ambience which makes every event enjoyable to the core.

It was only when I walked past the demo tables that my heart sunk to my stomach. It was very painful for me to watch the unveiling of Asus' five latest products which surpassed my Zenfone in looks, performance and features. Why does this happen to me? Whenever I finally buy a gadget, something better comes in the market which takes my breath away. That’s not fair ASUS. Anyway, life and events do not stop for gadget lamenting and they move on.

I had my first glimpse of Zenny – the ASUS mascot at the event. The cute owl may not just represent wisdom but also the nightvision feature of the Zenfone camera. The built-in 13 MP rear camera with zero shutter lag captures mesmerizing photos everywhere. The 5 MP front camera has been designed with an 85-degree wide-angle lens for taking selfies and chatting online. I wonder how good the 13 Megapixel cam would be !!!!!!

This was the second time I was watching Komal Tomke talk about Asus passionately. She kick started the event by introducing the Divas to brand Asus. She set the stage for Arindam to take off from where she left. He enthralled the gathered audience with the success story of ASUS. The ROG series somehow took a back seat at this meet, but that could be because it was the launching event of Zenfones. Later Peter Chang followed the talk and introduced us to the newly launched products. More bouts pain pangs for me…. only if I had waited some more!

I loved the presentation given by Steffi Lin, who compared smartphones to boyfriends, though today Divas are changing boyfriends more often than their smartphones. She was witty, smart and lively which made the presentation quite entertaining.

Beautification Features of the phone

Finally we were introduced to Fashion Diva Anusha Dandekar. I am not sure whether Anusha is going to hate me for this, but it was tough to believe that we were looking at a 33 year old woman.

She barely looked 20! Whew! If you want some good fashion tips you can follow her on Diva On Duty. Besides giving the Divas some important beauty tips, Anusha told us how to take better selfies.

Some girls went over and proved that they have taken her seriously with amazing selfies with one winner emerging with a pout. Then we had group selfies for competition. Impressed with Anusha’s presentation, Farheena decided to participate. I came up with a great idea of taking a selfie within a selfie with my own Zenfone. That went well with Komal and Anusha who appreciated my unique selfie within a selfie. I loved that she handed the gift of Zenny pen-drive to Farheena who is thrilled.

Finally it was time for us to move on towards our much awaited dinner. Everyone was hungry for sure. The dinner was good, especially the samosas. We had our fill and bid goodbye to an amazing event hosted by Asus.
